Accepted Freshmen Students

Welcome to the Class of 2018!

  1. Visit our historic Lakewood, NJ campus  
  2. Make it official! Submit your tuition deposit
    • Deposits can be paid by returning your Pre-Registered Deposit Slip and including a check or the pink credit card slip you received with your acceptance letter.
    • Commuting student deposit is $100.
    • Students living on campus deposit is $250.
    • You may also pay your tuition deposit via Master Card, Visa, or American Express by calling the Office of Admissions at 732.987.2700. Or by completing this form.
     
  3. Submit required forms
    The following forms must be submitted prior to your arrival on campus. Resident students will not be allowed to move-in without proper paperwork submitted. All paperwork can be sent to The Office of Admissions. Visit the Residence Life website for more information.  
  4. Sign up for Freshman Registration Days
    Choose one of the following dates to come to campus. At this event you will take your Accuplacer, meet with an academic advisor and schedule your fall 2014 classes.

  5. Make Friends- Join MyCourt!
    MyCourt is a private social media website designed to allow you to optimize your GCU experience - get to know our accepted students, interact with current students, professors, and admissions counselors. It’s THE place to meet your future roommate, ask questions, and soak in the Georgian Court Spirit.  
  6. Apply for Scholarships
    • Be on the lookout for scholarship opportunities. Information will be emailed and mailed periodically as opportunities are made available.
     
  7. New Student Move-in & Orientation
    At Georgian Court University, our new students receive a warm welcome from the GCU family of students, faculty and staff. New Student Move-in & Orientation programs are for both commuting and residential students. All new students are expected to attend.
    Register for orientation
    • Move-In: Thursday, August 21, 2014
    • Orientation: Thursday, August 21- Saturday, August 23, 2014
    • Classes Begin: Monday, August 25, 2014
     
  8. Important Financial Aid Information
    • To be considered for any Georgian Court University scholarships, grants or awards; or any state or federal aid, you must apply online using the 2014-2015 Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) at www.fafsa.ed.gov before August 1, 2014. However, the priority deadline to file is April 15, 2014.
    • The Office of Financial Aid can be reached at 732-987-2258 or by emailing financialaid@georgian.edu for all questions and concerns.
     
  9. Prior to First Day of Classes Please Submit:
    • Final high school transcripts with your graduation date must be submitted to the Office of Admissions before the first day of class.
    • Advanced Placement (AP) test scores must be submitted to the Office of Admissions as soon as they become available and before the start of the fall semester.

Accepted Transfer Students

Welcome to the next phase of your education here at Georgian Court University!

  1. Visit our historic Lakewood, NJ campus  
  2. Make it official! Submit your tuition deposit

  3. Register for classes!
    • Once you have paid your tuition deposit you will receive a registration packet with contact information for your academic advisor.
    • Contact the corresponding department to schedule an on campus advising appointment and choose your classes.
    • GCU will be hosting on campus Registration Events throughout the summer specifically catered to our incoming transfer students- more information will be emailed to eligible students as it becomes available.
