Transfer Students
Transfer students are an integral part of the Georgian Court University student body. As a transfer student, you can be accepted into the freshman, sophomore, or junior classes. You must have a cumulative grade point average of 2.0 on a 4.0 scale from your former college. If you have fewer than 24 credits, you must fulfill all requirements for admission to the freshman class. Candidates for admission from regionally accredited two-year colleges are judged by the same criteria as applicants from four-year institutions.
If you are planning to transfer from a New Jersey community college, you are encouraged to utilize the NJ Transfer website. This tool serves as the guide to finding course equivalencies between Georgian Court University and the community colleges within the state of New Jersey. By accessing NJ Transfer, you will learn:
- Which courses to select at your community college
- Course equivalencies
- How the courses will satisfy the Georgian Court University four-year-degree requirements
- What Recommended Transfer Programs are in place
