Make-A-Wish New Jersey

Since 1983, Make-A-Wish New Jersey has brought hope, strength and joy to more than 7,400 seriously-ill children throughout all 21 counties in every city, town, and municipality in the Garden State. Make-A-Wish New Jersey was founded in 1983 and has 300+ volunteers. Our student participated in internal and external events, and assisted with administrative duties.

AARP New Jersey

AARP is a nonprofit, nonpartisan organization, with a membership of more than 37 million, that helps people 50+ have independence, choice and control in ways that are beneficial to them and society as a whole. Our student wrote blog posts, tweets and letters to editors; document events for post-event reports on the internet and provide other assistance as needed.

Arts To Grow

Arts to Grow works with schools and community organizations in the NY/NJ metro area to provide art programs that change children's lives, inspiring them to love to learn and helping them discover their personal, intrinsic motivation. Our student worked with others to update the organization’s social websites, research for grants and donations, and help with administrative duties.

Liberty Science Center

Liberty Science Center is an interactive science museum and learning in New Jersey. The center, which first opened in 1993 as New Jersey's first major state science museum, has science exhibits, the largest IMAX Dome theater in the United States, and numerous educational resources. Our student worked with the media relation team, participated in social media outreaches, and work with other departments of LSC for their communication needs.

NBC Universal

NBC Universal is an American media and entertainment company engaged in the production and marketing of entertainment, news, and information products and services to a global customer base. The company owns and operates American television networks, numerous cable channels, and a group of local stations in the United States, as well as motion picture companies, several television production companies, and branded theme parks. Our student assisted senior level publicists and producers with a broad range of administrative activities including helping Saturday Night Live cast, searching for publicity and much more.

Press Communications

Press Communications is a company that owns three radio stations in New Jersey. Our student worked in the promotion department and learned all aspects of the radio business, which include assisting in the process of executing promotional events and providing support to on-air talent, sale staff and website department.

Monmouth County SPCA

The Monmouth County Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals was founded in 1945 to care for the community’s homeless, neglected and abused animals. Our student worked with the staff in the media and communication department to promote awareness and gain interest to the shelter.
