Pablo Picasso: Modern Art Innovator
April 26 @ 12:30 pm - 3:00 pm$43
Co-founder of the Cubist movement, Pablo Picasso (1881–1973) was known for his political activism and groundbreaking artwork, which was often critical of the Fascist regime of Francisco Franco in Spain. A Spanish expatriate living in France, his work reflected his personal world and the society around him, resulting in his distinctive periods of Blue, Rose, African-Influenced, Cubism, and classical/surreal. Not restricted to the canvas, Picasso’s talents were also brought to life in his sculptures and pen and inks. His revolutionary accomplishments brought him universal renown and immense fortunes throughout his life, making him one of the most recognized figures in 20th-century art.
