Financial Aid/Scholarship
Financial aid is any scholarship, grant, loan or job offered to the applicant student to help meet educationally related expenses. Most aid is awarded for a first bachelors degree. Eligible students may be funded through a combination called a financial aid package. Awards are based on financial need, which is the difference between the familys ability to contribute to the students education and the cost of attending college.
A students application for financial aid is processed once the student is accepted to Georgian Court. Upon acceptance, a students financial aid application is reviewed for eligibility. Specifically, each applicant should:
Complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). A student may file online at:
http://www.fafsa.ed.gov
All aid is awarded based on accurate and verifiable information. Students in default or in arrears at other institutions are ineligible for financial aid at Georgian Court.

The TEACH Grant counseling session provides information about the terms and conditions of a TEACH Grant service agreement, as well as the rights and responsibilities that apply if a grant is converted to a Federal Direct Unsubsidized Stafford Loan. Regulations require TEACH Grant applicants to complete an initial counseling session prior to each grant disbursement. If a student receives more than one TEACH Grant, he or she must complete subsequent counseling.

Note to Returning Students
The Office of Financial Aid strives to assist all students in obtaining funding for their education. However, due to the increasing number of students who apply for financial aid each year, we have implemented a priority service deadline of April 15. Our priority system gives preference to students who submit all financial aid forms and documents by the deadline.
Failure to submit required financial aid documents by April 15 may result in the loss of consideration for funds.
Returning students who miss the Priority Service Deadline should be aware that the deadline to receive the NJ TAG award is June 1. Filing after June 1 will result in the loss of your NJ TAG award. For more detailed information, please refer to the online catalog at:
