Financial Assistance

 The Office of Financial Aid

This fact sheet presents a number of important topics for your review as you make financial preparations for your college education.

Students are encouraged to apply for financial aid by using the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). Forms are available on line at http://www.fafsa.ed.gov. Georgian Court Universitys Title IV Code is 002608

Employer Reimbursement

If your employer provides tuition reimbursement benefits, you are eligible for a deferred payment plan. Students receiving tuition reimbursement must submit a letter of eligibility on company letterhead to the Office of the Bursar. The letter must include the company's reimbursement policy and procedures.

Other Financing Options

Deferred payment plans from private agencies provide the opportunity for monthly payments throughout the academic year. Further information on each of these plans is available by contacting the Office of the Bursar. Tuition Management Systems, Inc. (TMS) can be contacted at http://www.afford.com

Alternative Loan Options

New Jersey Class Loan: www.hesaa.org: Students must be at least half time and past due balances of up to a year are acceptable.

Sallie Mae Signature Loan: www.salliemae.com: Students must be at least half time and past due balances of up to a year are acceptable.

Continuing Education Loan: over the phone application - 800.255.TERI; this loan is available to non-matriculating students as well as students who are only taking 3 credits per semester.

Wachovia Education Loan: www.educaid.com: This loan can be used as an alternative loan for at least half time students. Another valuable feature is that students can use this as a way to cover past due balances of 36 months.

Withdrawal Policy

Students withdrawing from the college either during or at the end of a semester must make appropriate arrangements with the Office of Financial Aid for terminating aid and discussing loan repayment possibilities, if any.
