Georgian Court Offers Home Buying Tips with Free Seminar
Lakewood, N.J., Feb. 5, 2008—Are you in the market to buy a home? Take advantage of falling interest rates and housing prices, and prepare yourself for the process with a home buying seminar on Tuesday, February 26, from 6:00 to 9:30 p.m. in the Casino Ballroom on GCU’s Lakewood campus.
Buying a house is usually the largest financial transaction that a person makes in life—it takes homework, legwork, and considerable effort to ensure that the process goes as smoothly as possible. This seminar, presented by GCU alumna Carolann Beck Clynes, will teach you the basics of how to shop for a house, determine its value, make an offer, arrange for financing, and assist in a smooth closing. The seminar will also provide tips on determining the size of the house you need and how much you can afford, as well as saving for the down payment.
Ms. Clynes has 37 years of experience in real estate. She also serves as chair of the New Jersey Historic Trust, a position to which she was nominated by Governor James McGreevey, and is a member of Who’s Who of American Women.
The presentation is free and open to the public, but reservations are required. For more information or for reservations, contact the Office of Alumni Relations at 732.987.2232 or email@example.com.
