Step Ahead: Frequently Asked Questions
Q: How old must I be to take a course?
A: Step Ahead accepts students who are at least 16 years old or in 11th grade.
Q: What is the cost of the course?
A: Students pay a tuition amount of $218.00 for a course. The cost of tuition is payable in advance and non-refundable unless the application is rejected.
Q: Do I have to pay any fees?
A: No fees are charged the student.
Q: How many courses may I take per year?
A: A student may only take one course per semester or 3 courses per year.
Q: What must I do to be admitted into the program?
A: Complete the Step Ahead application form and return it to Office of Admission, Step Ahead Program, with a check for $198.00 payable to Georgian Court University. We will evaluate your application and confirm your registration in the program subject to the below requirements. An adviser or GCU representative will answer questions.
Q: What are the typical requirements for the program?
A: Students are expected to have a 3.0 GPA, greater than 82 high school average, or B or better grades in their high school courses. A supporting letter from a teacher or counselor is required. Continuation in the program is contingent on maintaining your GPA in good academic standing.
