GCU Hosts 12th Annual Golf Classic
Lakewood, N.J., Mar. 19, 2007—Interested in supporting Georgian Court University? If so, grab your nine-iron and join Jim Knipper and Joseph Knipper, Georgian Court University trustees and co-chairs for GCU’s 12th Annual Golf Classic, on Monday, April 23, at Manasquan River Golf Club in Brielle, New Jersey. All proceeds will be used to benefit the students of Georgian Court University.
The day’s itinerary begins with registration at 10:00 a.m., followed by a barbecue brunch at 10:30 a.m. and a shotgun start at 12:00 noon. Format of play will be a modified scramble, and participants will receive golf prizes for the closest-to-the-pin and hit-the-green on designated holes. Afterward, join other players for an open-bar cocktail reception and awards dinner. During the live auction and raffle drawing, participants can enter to win a $10,000 custom vacation for four to Ireland, and rounds of golf at prestigious golf courses.
Sponsorships start at $300 and go up to $10,000. The cost for a foursome, which includes greens fees, brunch, golf cart use, cocktail reception, and buffet dinner, is $2,000. In appreciation for their support, all participants will also receive a nylon wind shirt.
Georgian Court University will only allow 36 foursomes for this outing, so reservations are required to participate. Registration is required no later than April 16.
