Nursing Program Information Session at Georgian Court University
Lakewood, N.J., Mar. 6, 2009—The Georgian Court-Meridian Health School of Nursing will offer an information session for interested high school seniors and juniors who are interested in the Bachelor of Science in Nursing program on Wednesday, March 18, at 4:00 p.m. in the North Dining Room on GCU’s Lakewood campus.
Georgian Court University and Meridian Health, one of the largest providers of health care services in Monmouth and Ocean Counties, have partnered to provide a special program for those looking for a meaningful career with an increasing number of available jobs. Recent studies indicate that the number of new nurses in New Jersey would need to triple from the current 2,000 to 6,000 to prevent the predicted nursing shortage in 2020.
Admissions personnel will be on hand to explain how to apply and prepare for this exciting four-year program. They will provide information about the nursing major, Meridian Health, and specific admissions criteria.
This information session will present the information needed about the nursing major, Meridian Health Care, and Georgian Court University. If you are a high school senior or junior, want to do something special with your life, and are interested in health-related programs you should attend this session. Included is a tour of the new science and wellness centers.
