Spring into the History of the Georgian Court University Campus
Tours Offer Behind-the-Scenes View of Historic Georgian Court Estate
Lakewood, N.J., May 6, 2010—With the warm weather and flowers in bloom, there is no better time to take a stroll around Georgian Court University’s beautiful historic campus in Lakewood. The campus opens its gates for guided tours on select Tuesday mornings this May and June. Come explore the one-of-a-kind architecture, the historic Mansion and Casino buildings, lush gardens, and the Raymond Hall Complex.
The tours take about 1.5 hours with 45 minutes of outdoor walking on uneven and partially uphill paths. This walking tour is NOT wheelchair accessible, and in the event of inclement weather, the outdoor walking tour will be abbreviated and a video program will be substituted.
Remaining dates for this spring’s tours are May 11, 18, 25 and June 1. Tours begin at the Georgian Court University Mansion at 10:30 a.m. The cost is $10 per person, including light refreshments after the tour.
