GCU Invites High School Seniors to Freshman Instant Decision Day
Lakewood, N.J., Jan. 14, 2011—On Monday, January 24, or Friday, January 28, at 10:00 a.m., high school seniors are invited to the Lake House on Georgian Court University’s Lakewood campus to have their applications reviewed, tour the campus, enjoy lunch, attend a mock class, and meet with an admissions counselor to learn of the admissions decision—all in the same day.
One of the hardest parts of choosing a college is waiting to see if you are accepted. By attending this event, high school seniors will know if they are accepted before dinner. Included in the day is a tour of the historic campus, including classrooms and residences, and a delicious lunch in the university Dining Hall.
In the afternoon, an admissions counselor will review each student’s application personally and inform them of the admissions decision. Interested students must register online and bring their application, official high school transcripts (including list of 12th-year courses), SAT or ACT scores, optional brag sheet or résumé, and recommendations in a sealed envelope. Students will receive instant scholarship eligibility notifications to help them make their decision. Applicants for the nursing program must have minimum SAT scores of 500 on both critical reading and math or an ACT composite score of 21 and a high school GPA of 3.0.
Dance and music majors will not be able to receive an admissions decision on the same day, but are welcome to attend and participate in the day's activities.
Registration is required, and confirmations will be given. Please register online at http://www.georgian.edu/admissions/undergrad/visit.htm. For more information, call 732.987.2760.
