Georgian Court Offers Admissions Women’s College Open House for Prospective Students
Lakewood, N.J., Mar. 3, 2011—Georgian Court University opens its doors to prospective undergraduate students and their guests to learn about all Georgian Court University has to offer at its Women’s College Open House on Saturday, March 19, at 9:30 a.m. in the Wellness Center on the Lakewood campus.
Faculty and staff will be on hand to discuss some of Georgian Court’s newest undergraduate programs, including early education P–3 programs; nursing; exercise science, wellness, and sports; and dance—as well as more than 25 other undergraduate degree programs.
Student-led tours of GCU’s beautiful, safe historic campus will give visitors the chance to check out the library; the new residence hall and chapel; the new Audrey Birish George Science Center; and the new 67,000-square-foot Wellness Center, a soaring, environmentally friendly building.
In addition to faculty, student life, and athletics representatives, financial aid personnel will be present to discuss the availability of financial aid and guide students through the process.

9:30 a.m. Guest Sign-In
Arrive at the Wellness Center Colonnade between 9:30 and 9:50 a.m., sign in and meet staff and students, receive your Open House materials, enjoy some refreshments, visit the Court Café, and check out the University Bookstore.
10:00 a.m. Welcome
Welcome by Georgian Court University President, Rosemary Jeffries, RSM, Ph.D., and Provost Evelyn Quinn, M.S.W., M.Ed., in the Wellness Center Arena.
10:30 a.m. Academic Presentations for Students
Students will be escorted to an academic presentation in the Arts and Science Center, presented by faculty of your chosen academic major and current students in that field. We encourage you to ask your questions at this time.
10:30 a.m. Presentation for Parents
Parents will be escorted to the Little Theatre in the Arts and Science Center for an information session on admissions, financial aid, and career development.
11:15 a.m.–12:30 p.m. University Community Fair
You and your family will be escorted to the Casino Auditorium for the College Information Fair. At the fair, you will be able to visit display tables, pick up information, and ask questions as you meet students, faculty, and staff from all our academic majors and student service/life areas.
12:00–2:00 p.m. Lunch
Be our guest for lunch and enjoy a buffet from our food service, Chartwells. University students, staff, and faculty welcome you to join them in the Raymond Hall Dining Room for lunch.
12:00–2:00 p.m. Continuous Guided Campus tours
Our Student Ambassadors will escort you and your family on a guided tour of our beautiful historic campus where you’ll visit the academic buildings, library, student lounge, Court Café, bookstore, fitness center, and residence halls. Tours leave from the Casino Auditorium and Raymond Hall Dining Room. Tours will take approximately one hour.
