Information Session Offered at GCU at Woodbridge on 2/16
Lakewood, N.J., Jan. 31, 2012—Georgian Court University at Woodbridge will hold an information session for prospective students on Thursday, February 16, from 6:00 to 7:30 p.m. at GCU at Woodbridge, One Woodbridge Center, Suite 905, Woodbridge, N.J. Busy working adults who want to advance their careers through accelerated or advanced degree programs in homeland security, business, and education are invited to attend. During each session, staff will explain the programs offered, provide information on ways to pay for classes, offer online registration, and describe courses you will need to complete your degree.

- NEW! M.S. in Homeland Security
Gain the knowledge, skills, and abilities to succeed in homeland security or advance professionally in public or private organizations as a protective services professional. The curriculum includes courses on hostage negotiation, emergency preparedness and response, and the informal and formal money transfer system that funds terrorism. Whether you are considering a career in homeland security for the first time or are currently a law enforcement professional looking for new challenges, GCU offers a learning experience you just can’t find anywhere else.
- Postbaccalaureate Early Childhood Education P–3
According to the Bureau of Labor Statistics, teaching in preschool through third grade is one of the fastest growing professions in the United States. This 15- to 16-credit Graduate Certificate in Early Childhood Education leads to eligibility for endorsement for Preschool to Grade Three.
- Postbaccalaureate Inclusive Early Childhood Education P–3
This 29-credit Graduate Certificate in Inclusive Early Childhood Education leads to eligibility for endorsement for Preschool to Grade Three as well as a Teacher of Students with Disabilities.
- Postbaccalaureate 9-Month Teaching Certificate
Already have an undergraduate degree and want to teach? GCU at Woodbridge’s accelerated dual teacher certification program blends theory with field-based applications. Attend classes full time Monday through Thursday and spend Fridays in a district classroom.
- M.A. in Administration and Leadership
Certified teachers can attend evening classes for this master’s program to become eligible for leadership positions from principal to supervisor or school administrator.
- Accelerated Master of Business Administration
Move up the career ladder by finishing 36 credits in one year by attending class every Saturday. You can also earn your degree part time through back-to-back Tuesday evening classes in just 22 months.
- Online Certificate in Holistic Health Studies
This 18-credit program, which can be completed in just 11 months, is built on a scientific foundation that explores Eastern and Western approaches to health and mind-body-spirit principles and techniques.
