Georgian Court B.F.A. Students Present Art Show
Lakewood, N.J., May 2, 2012—Georgian Court University will showcase the portfolios of two B.F.A. seniors, Lorelle Shea and Elizabeth Wutkowski, from May 7 through 11 in GCU’s M. Christina Geis Art Gallery. A reception with the artists will be held on Tuesday, May 8, from 5:00 to 7:30 p.m.
The exhibition includes Lorelle and Elizabeth’s final work in the graphic design concentration. For this concentration, students must complete 78 credits in the major and take a variety of graphic design courses including computer graphics, Web design, editorial design, illustration, textile and fashion design, and designing with type.
“It will be a great feeling to show off all of our hard work and the progress we have made,” says Lorelle.
“The field of design is exciting and provides growth opportunities for well prepared and motivated graduates,” says Geraldine Velasquez, Ed.D., GCU professor of art. “Our program has placed successful designers across the country and even Austria over the last 15 years. These graduates will continue to make us proud.”
The M. Christina Geis Art Gallery spotlights works of established and up-and-coming artists in diverse media.
