Admission to the B.S.N. Program
Admission to the nursing program is competitive. Students must meet general admission criteria for Georgian Court University and must demonstrate appropriate psychomotor, cognitive, and sensory capabilities to function in a professional nursing role. Students must be able to tolerate physically demanding and stressful situations. The program is designed for full-time, first-time female and male freshmen. Meeting the minimum requirements for admission does not guarantee admission to the B.S.N. program.
Completion of college preparatory high school courses, including 16 units in academic subjects distributed as follows:
||2 units in one language
||2 units (including 1 unit of Algebra)
||2 units (one in biology, one in chemistry)
||5 units in subjects above, or in social sciences
Standardized Test Scores: SAT combined math/critical reading score of at least 1000 or ACT composite score of 21. SAT/ACT is not optional.
High School GPA of 3.0 (on a 4.0 scale) in college preparatory curriculum of academic subjects
A grade of B (equivalent to a 3.0 on a 4.0 scale) in each of the following high school courses: biology with laboratory, chemistry with laboratory, and Algebra I.
