Welcome Class of 2012

Congratulations on your acceptance to Georgian Court University! We are excited that you have chosen to become a part of our dynamic community, and look forward to working with you during New Student Orientation.

New Student Orientation will be held for all new students, first-time and transfers, Monday, August 18, and Tuesday, August 19. This two-day event is a REQUIRED program that reviews all the information you need to make a seamless transition to GCU. Transfer students are only required to attend, Monday, August 18th.

ALL FIRST-TIME FRESHMEN IN THE WOMEN’S COLLEGE—FULL-TIME AND PART-TIME, COMMUTERS AND RESIDENTS— MUST SPEND THE NIGHT IN A RESIDENCE HALL. During Orientation, you will:

  • meet new students
  • learn how to become involved on campus
  • find out about your academic requirements
  • speak with administration and faculty
  • and much more

Please note: this is not Move-In Day. Along with the GCU Orientation staff and student leaders, welcome to Georgian Court University and we look forward to seeing you in August!

Essential Information for Parents

New Student Orientation is not just for students; it’s for parents, too! On August 18, GCU will offer a separate orientation for parents, encouraging them to become more familiar with the campus community and services we offer.

Parents speak with faculty and staff and meet with students who have experienced what GCU has to offer. It is the perfect opportunity for them to connect with the campus and to have all their questions answered.

GCU does not provide overnight accommodations for parents. However, we have secured a block of rooms at the following establishment:

Ramada Inn & Suites
2373 State Highway 9
Toms River, NJ 08753
732.905.2626

Please refer to the block for “GCU Orientation” when booking. Reservations must be made by July 18, 2008 to qualify for the discounted rate.
