The Girl Scouts of the Jersey Shore have selected Georgian Court Provost Janice Warner, Ph.D., as one of their five 2020 Women of Distinction. Provost Warner and the other honorees reflect the Girl Scout vision in their lives and fulfill the Girl Scouts’ mission to help girls become women of courage, confidence, and character, who make the world a better place.
As provost, Provost Warner is a member of the President’s Cabinet and leads the Division of Academic and Student Affairs. She works collaboratively with the Provost’s Council to strengthen the student experience. She helped develop and implement Georgian Court’s Strategic Compass and is a member of the Middle States Accreditation steering committee, and co-chair for the strategic enrollment plan. Prior to serving as provost, she served as dean and faculty in the School of Business and Digital Media. Before entering academia, Provost Warner was a director at Telcordia Technologies. In 2017, she was named one of the Fifty Best Women in Business by NJBIZ. A lifelong Girl Scout, she served as a troop leader for eight years in Holmdel.
Provost Warner and the other honorees will be recognized at the Girl Scouts of the Jersey Shore’s Women of Distinction and Community Partners Gala, which has been rescheduled for Thursday, July 30.
