M. Christina Geis Art Gallery
The mission of the M. Christina Geis Gallery at Georgian Court University is to serve the students, the university community and the community at large by exhibiting curated and invitational professional exhibitions as well as selected student exhibits.
The gallery is located on the second floor of the Arts and Science Center. It has 101 feet of running space. All walls are made of a solid white compound and art works are suspended with the Walker Hanging System. The gallery is illuminated with track and fluorescent lighting. There are two security cameras located in the gallery and the gallery is monitored by campus security.
Many artists who show in our gallery have donated some of their time to lecture and share their objectives and techniques with the students.
Because we do not function for profit, but for the purpose of education, there is no fee or percentage charged for any work sold, and the university is not responsible to sell any work for the artist. We can inform potential buyers of the price of an item, but the actual sale must be handled through the artist and purchaser. Any work that is sold must remain in the gallery until the end of the exhibit.
Artists who are interested in exhibiting should submit a résumé and a minimum of ten samples of work by using the gallery email at firstname.lastname@example.org . The members of the Art Department will view the work and, if selected, the artist will be notified when he/she can be scheduled for an exhibit.
Gallery hours of operation are: Monday-Thursday, 9am-8pm and Friday, 9am-5pm. For additional information please call 732-987-2388.
