GCU students can now apply for emergency cash grants made possible by the federal Higher Education Emergency Relief Fund (CARES Act). The application and eligibility requirements are available at https://georgian.edu/application-for-higher-education-emergency-relief-fund/. Virtual instruction and events remain ongoing. A live Commencement ceremony will be held on campus in the fall, most likely on an October weekend. Admissions events and select student activities have moved online, while all other public and campus events, activities, and athletics have been canceled for the semester. Always check GCU e-mails and https://georgian.edu/health-services/coronavirus/ for the most up-to-date information.

Educational Opportunity Fund (EOF) Questionnaire

In order to be considered for this program and funding you must:
  • be a New Jersey resident for at least one year.
  • complete and submit an application for admission to Georgian Court University.
  • submit copies of your and your parent'(s)/guardian’s signed 2018 Federal Income Tax Transcripts. If you or your parent(s)/guardian(s) receive Public Assistance, Social Security, or Disability Benefits, please provide “letterhead” copies of the total sum of benefits received in 2018, a copy of your health records, and Green Card.
  • meet the financial and academic criteria in the program guidelines.
  • have filed a Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) or the New Jersey Alternative  Financial Aid Application (https://www.hesaa.org/pages/njalternativeapplication.aspx), for those who qualify.
  • meet the eligibility criteria, as outlined by the Office of the Secretary of Higher Education (OSHE).

Note:

All documents (GCU Application, 2018 Tax documents, FAFSA or NJ Alternate Financial Aid Application and GCU EOF Questionnaire) must be submitted by February 28, 2020.

Documents can be submitted via mail (Georgian Court University: Office of Undergraduate Admissions, Attn: Mr. Damian Otchere, 900 Lakewood Avenue, Lakewood, NJ 08701), via email: dotchere@georgian.edu or via fax: 732-987-2008.

Priority review is given to applicants who submit all of the necessary documents (GCU Admissions Application, 2020-2021 FAFSA or NJ Alternate Financial Aid Application, 2018 1040 Tax Form & IRS Tax Transcript and the 2020-2021 GCU-EOF Questionnaire) by February 14, 2020.
