EOF Christmas Concert with Elder Toby Carson

The GCU Educational Opportunity Fund program is excited to host Elder Toby Carson, a GCU alumna, for a free Christmas concert Friday, Dec. 13 from 6 to 9 p.m. “Elder Carson is an amazingly gifted singer & minister,” said Dr. Joy Smith, director of GCU’s EOF program. “We are guaranteed to have an awesome experience on Friday evening.” Elder Carson (at left with GCU students) holds a bachelor’s degree in English/Education from Georgian Court University and a master’s degree in Public Communications from Fordham University (Bronx, NY). In 2012, the Lord inspired Elder Toby along with her brother Reverend Brandon Rawls to initiate the “iWorship Ministry, a movement designed to inspire men, women, and youth to worship God with understanding and freedom.

She feels very blessed to have served in the capacity as an educator/administrator to children and families for the past 20 years, and currently serves as administrator within the Bright Horizons Company. She is also an associate elder at St. Paul’s Life Center in Newark where she serves as Praise & Worship Leader.
