BBC Correspondent David Willey Examines Progress Under Pope Francis

Author David Willey paints a portrait of Pope Francis that morphs from the Argentina of his youth and middle age to Rome where he still craves simplicity. It is a picture of a man forged by family ties, difficulties with the Argentinian government and – most especially – his experiences with the poor and suffering. The central image that emerges from this montage, Mr. Willey said, is that Pope Francis sees the Church as a “field hospital” focused on healing not only humanity but the global environment as well.

Service Volunteers Make Georgian Court University a “Champion of Good Works”

Georgian Court University considers service a core value that is integrated with academics, athletics, and student life, and invests thousands of hours each year to help nonprofits in the region. During 2014–2015, GCU reported nearly 95,000 volunteer hours donated by students, faculty, and staff to organizations like Habitat for Humanity, Arc of Ocean County, Make-a-Wish Foundation, Read Across America, Providence House, Red Cross, and Catholic Charities.
