The U.S. Department of Education has awarded Georgian Court a new TRIO–Student Support Services grant for more than $1.69 million over the next five years to help first generation, low-income, and students with disabilities succeed in college and graduate. GCU has been a TRIO–SSS institution for 40 years.

Plangere Family Foundation Gift Funds New Nursing Scholarships at Georgian Court
Georgian Court University students pursuing nursing and other health professions will benefit from a generous $200,000 donation made by the Jules L. Plangere, Jr. Family Foundation. This major gift, the first by the foundation to GCU, will provide crucial scholarship support to an area where there is great need.
Teri Wurmser, RN, Ph.D., Named Dean of GCU-Hackensack Meridian Health School of Nursing
Theresa Wurmser, M.P.H., Ph.D., RN, is the new dean of the Georgian Court University–Hackensack Meridian Health School of Nursing. Dr. Wurmser, named to the job July 1, is the inaugural dean of the university’s nursing school, home to the fastest-growing academic program at GCU.
