Frequently asked questions
Georgian Court University is looking for a well-rounded student that demonstrates consistent academic performance along with an extra-curricular/outside activity list that compliments the level of work being done in the classroom. This is the kind of student that succeeds at Georgian Court University.
After you submit your application, we will send you an acknowledgement of your application, which will include login information so you can check your application status online, 24/7. At this point, you should be working on getting your official transcript(s) and letters of recommendation.
Once your application is complete, meaning that we have your Common Application, official transcript(s), and letters of recommendation, you can expect to hear back in about 3 business weeks. If you apply between August and September, the earliest you can expect an admissions decision is early October and we then run on a rolling admissions basis.
We would love to meet with you! Although not required, you can request an interview or we may ask to interview you too!
A letter of recommendation should speak to your performance in the area your recommender knows you from/in. For example, a recommendation from a teacher or counselor, should speak to your performance in the classroom and how that may translate at Georgian Court University or a recommendation from a work supervisor should speak to your work ethic and performance. Your recommendation should not come from a family member, however.
