Dining options for every appetite

While you’re busy studying and enjoying life at GCU, remember to eat! Food is fuel for your body and mind—and it’s important to have a balanced diet. Georgian Court Dining Services make eating well and eating right effortless with nutritious, flavor-packed meals. Our two dining locations, Raymond Dining Hall and The Café at GCU, have a wide variety of menu options to suit your appetite. Your health and wellness are top of mind, which is why we work with a registered dietitian and practice sustainability by sourcing fresh, local foods whenever possible.

To identify the best food choices for you, look out for these five labels on GCU dining options:

  • Eat Well (includes low-calorie, low-fat, low-sodium whole foods)
  • Made with Whole Grains
  • Vegetarian
  • Vegan
  • Plant-Forward (emphasizes more healthy plants and less animal protein)

Read on to get more information about on-campus dining, meal plans, and our priorities and practices.

GCU Dining Locations

Raymond Dining Hall

Locally grown, freshly prepared food. Culturally diverse menus. Ten exhibition-style cooking stations. Raymond Dining Hall will be your go-to for buffet-style dining, where you can eat as much or as little as you like. Come for breakfast, lunch, or dinner, and enjoy additional brunch hours over the weekend.

Here’s a taste of what’s on the menu:

  • Traditional American cuisine, such as pizza, burgers, hot dogs, and sandwiches
  • Chicken tinga tacos, Kimchi fried rice, green curry, and other ethnically inspired classics
  • Healthy salads with leafy greens, protein, and do-it-yourself toppings and dressings
  • Comfort foods and desserts—think French fries, chips, cookies, and red velvet cake

The Cafe at Georgian Court

If you happen to miss dinner at Raymond Dining Hall, no worries! The Café stays open late until 11 p.m., Monday through Friday. Have a snack between classes, pick up something to eat on the go, or sit down with your friends for a full meal. Choose from grilled burgers, sandwiches, subs, and salad wraps at Sizzle and Sear or A Crust Above. You can even “design your own” sandwich for less than $5, get sushi, and much more.

Meal plans 101

GCU students benefit from convenient, affordable meal plan options that include meal swipes and declining balance dollars. Your meal plan gets connected to your student ID, so you can enjoy no-fuss dining on your own schedule. Even better, meal plans provide tax-free food purchases.

All resident students are required to have a meal plan. If you’re an incoming first-year student, you’ll automatically be enrolled in the Weekly 19 meal plan, but you can also switch to Block 275. Commuter students, as well as faculty and staff, have different meal plans they may opt to purchase.

Meal Swipes

Swipe your ID card to eat at the Raymond Dining Hall or get a meal exchange at The Cafe.

Weekly 19

By default, resident students get 19 meals per week and $75 declining balance dollars.

Declining Balance

With this debit fund, you’ll be able to make dollar-for-dollar purchases across campus.

Block 275

This alternative meal plan gives you 275 meals per semester and $200 declining balance dollars.
