Registration
You will be able to register for classes after meeting with your faculty advisor. Your advisor will authorize you to register for the term/session of your choice. Once authorization is provided you can register through Self-Service. After you place your courses into the Cart you will be asked to confirm your registration. After you click on the “Process” you can click on the “Course Schedule” link in Self-Service and view the proper year/term schedule for confirmation.
Please note, waitlist instructor permission courses are not officially registered. If a course requires instructor permission or the waitlist has spot for you, then you will be notified via GCU email when permission is granted. You must then, log into self-service to finalize your registration in the course.
Room Assignments
Final room assignments will be available via Self-Service two weeks prior to the term start date. It can be accessed by logging into Self-Service and clicking on the Classes tab.
Schedules
The Fall and Winter schedules will be available online on Self-Service by mid-February. The Spring and Summer schedules will be available online on Self-Service during the first week of October. It can be accessed by going to https://selfservice.georgian.edu/SelfService/Home.aspx.
A complete course schedule can be viewed/printed by going to the Self-Service course schedule and clicking on the “Print all course sections.” link. This will open a list of all courses at GCU. A complete schedule can then be printed from that screen. The online schedule is always up-to-date and should be consulted for all course statuses (Closed, Open, or Cancelled).
Certain courses are restricted to certain populations or require departmental approval before registering. These courses are listed with a class maximum of “0”. Please contact the department for information on registering for these courses.
