Writing is the skill that underlies every other professional skill — and GCU's Writing minor develops it with rigor and range. From grammar and web writing to creative writing, public relations writing, and journalism, the Writing minor builds versatile, professional-level writing ability that will serve you in every career and every form of advanced study. Open to all majors.

Eighteen semester hours of writing courses above EN111 Writing, Research, and Digital Literacy and EN112 Academic Writing and Research II (or equivalent) are required for the Writing minor. The minor builds proficiency across multiple writing genres — creative, journalistic, professional, digital, and academic — developing the versatile writing capability that employers in every field consistently say they struggle to find in new graduates.
Eighteen semester hours are required in writing courses above EN111 Writing, Research, and Digital Literacy; EN112 Academic Writing and Research II or the equivalent. Courses taken for the minor may not also count toward the major. At least half the required courses must be taken at Georgian Court.
