Getting Started

What you'll need to apply.

When To Apply

Mostly rolling — a few programs run on their own cycle.

Most GCU graduate programs accept applications on a rolling, year-round basis — apply whenever it works for you. A few run on a fixed fall-only admission cycle instead:

ProgramDeadline
M.A. in Clinical Mental Health CounselingApril 30 before the fall semester you'd like to start; late applications considered conditionally, based on space
Psy.D. in School Psychology (incl. Advanced Standing)Materials due Feb 1; interviews Feb/Mar; decisions delivered before the April 15 APA/NASP commitment deadline
M.A. in Applied Behavior AnalysisAlso fall-only admission — specific deadline to be confirmed

Always check your specific program page to confirm which timeline applies to you.

The Process

Four steps to get started.

Apply + Transcript

Submit your application along with your official bachelor's degree transcript.

Program-Specific Steps

Interviews, essays, recommendation letters, or prerequisite documentation, depending on your program.

Confirm Your Spot

$250 nonrefundable deposit. Priority: Aug 1 fall / Jan 1 spring.

Meet Your Advisor & Register

Meet with your advisor or attend an admissions registration event before you register.

Not Ready To Commit To A Full Program?

Two ways to get started without full commitment.

Try Before You Matriculate

Enroll as a non-matriculating student and take up to 6 credits to explore before committing to a full program. Those credits may later count toward your degree if you decide to matriculate.

Graduate Assistantships

Work on campus while you study — assistantships offer a $300/month stipend plus tuition remission for up to 18 credits. Positions are first-come, first-served, so it pays to ask early. Contact the Library (Room 107) to learn more.
