Complete Health Forms
Every student completes forms and uploads immunization records via the PyraMED student health portal before class or move-in — skip it and you'll have a registration hold.
Plan for Housing
Residential students: rooms are assigned by class year across our 4 halls. Rooms come furnished — bring your own linens. Bringing a car? Register for a parking permit through Self-Service; residents pick up their hangtag from the Office of Student Accounts.
Attend Blue & Gold Day
Meet your advisor, build your schedule, and talk aid and housing — all in one visit. Attend just one date.

Common Questions
Answers Before You Ask
Is Blue & Gold Day mandatory?
Attendance is strongly encouraged rather than required — it's the easiest way to handle your schedule, advisor meeting, aid, and housing questions in one visit. You only need to attend one date. Blue & Gold Day is for deposited new first-year and transfer students; graduate students register through an advisor meeting instead.
What if I'm not applying for financial aid?
The deposit, health forms, and registration steps still apply. Skip the FAFSA step and go straight to reviewing your bill through Student Accounts.
I'm a commuter — do I still need a health form?
Yes — every student completes health forms and immunization documentation through the PyraMED student health portal. A few specific requirements are audience-based rather than universal: the TB screening applies to resident and international students, and the meningococcal vaccine is required for all first-time students under 19 plus residents over 19. The portal walks you through exactly what applies to you. Portal trouble? Contact GCU IT at 732-987-2222.
When will I find out about my transfer credit?
Once your official transcripts arrive, Admissions and the Registrar evaluate them and let you know what transfers — usually before Blue & Gold Day, so you have a clear picture going in.
I'm moving from commuter to resident status later — what do I need?
You'll need to give Health Services proof of a meningococcal vaccine (given on or after your 16th birthday) and a TB test completed no more than 6 months before your move-in date. Every student must be cleared by Health Services before moving into a hall.
