Our Commitment

Through the Office of Student Success—Accessibility Services, we ensure that students receive appropriate accommodations and support to achieve academic success.

Getting Started

Students seeking accommodations must:

  1. Complete the Accommodation Request Form
  2. Attach documentation within the form that meets our guidelines
  3. Work with our staff to determine appropriate accommodations
  4. Coordinate with faculty to implement approved accommodations

Important: Accommodations are not retroactive and will not be implemented until proper documentation is received and reviewed.

Testing Accommodations

Students approved for testing accommodations should coordinate with our office at least one week in advance of their exam date. We provide:

  • Extended time
  • Quiet testing environment
  • Use of assistive technology
  • Other approved accommodations

Grievance Policy and Procedures
This policy outlines the grievance procedure for GCU students with disabilities who believe they have experienced:

  • Failure to implement approved accommodations

  • Inaccessibility of campus facilities, programs, or technologies

Grievance Policy and Procedures

Service Animals
Service animals are welcome on campus. Service animals are defined as dogs that are individually trained to do work or perform tasks for people with disabilities. For more information about our service animal policy, please contact our office.
