Department of Integrative Health & Exercise Science

Integrative Health incorporates coursework and hands-on activities aimed at taking a whole-person approach to health and well-being. It incorporates mental, emotional, social, and physical health. Exercise science draws upon scientific and clinical data to explore how exercise can improve and heal the body.

About

Whether striving for the undergraduate minors or certificate, graduate-level certificate, or Master of Arts degree in this field, you’ll learn about Eastern and Western approaches to health and well-being from the the Department of Integrative Health & Exercise Science at Georgian Court University. Knowledgeable and approachable faculty offer you a mutual learning experience that is not limited to the cognitive level, but also extends to spiritual, mental, and physical wellness. These programs also develop your skills in critical thinking, communications, and interpersonal relations.

Undergraduate exercise science majors may choose a track in pre-physical therapy and/or a concentration in coaching. GCU also partners with Saint Joseph’s University in Philadelphia which will accept at least two Georgian Court University students per year who successfully meet all criteria for admission to their Doctor of Physical Therapy (D.P.T.) program.
