GCU students can now apply for emergency cash grants made possible by the federal Higher Education Emergency Relief Fund (CARES Act). The application and eligibility requirements are available at Virtual instruction and events remain ongoing. A live Commencement ceremony will be held on campus in the fall, most likely on an October weekend. Admissions events and select student activities have moved online, while all other public and campus events, activities, and athletics have been canceled for the semester. Always check GCU e-mails and for the most up-to-date information.

Department of Integrative Health & Exercise Science

Integrative Health incorporates coursework and hands-on activities aimed at taking a whole-person approach to health and well-being. It incorporates mental, emotional, social, and physical health. Exercise science draws upon scientific and clinical data to explore how exercise can improve and heal the body.

Whether striving for the undergraduate minors or certificate, graduate-level certificate, or Master of Arts degree in this field, you’ll learn about Eastern and Western approaches to health and well-being from the the Department of Integrative Health & Exercise Science at Georgian Court University. Knowledgeable and approachable faculty offer you a mutual learning experience that is not limited to the cognitive level, but also extends to spiritual, mental, and physical wellness. These programs also develop your skills in critical thinking, communications, and interpersonal relations.

Undergraduate exercise science majors may choose a track in pre-physical therapy and/or a concentration in coaching. GCU also partners with University of the Sciences in Philadelphia, or USciences, which will accept at least two Georgian Court University students per year who successfully meet all criteria for admission to their Doctor of Physical Therapy (D.P.T.) program. Graduates of these programs can enjoy careers in universities, corporate settings, and commercial and community settings.
