Department of Art & Visual Studies

Our courses include topics on photography, graphic design, publishing, and illustration along with basics in business administration, history, theory, and education. Graduates can go on to practice in a certain creative area, or pursue careers in teaching. Most importantly, the ability to develop strong concepts and to express them inventively is emphasized within the context of an artistic practice.

Through hands-on coursework and relevant field experiences, you are encouraged to take an interdisciplinary approach to art-making.
