As some of you may or may not know, a member of the Georgian Court Women’s Basketball team has had to leave the team due to an unforeseen health crisis. Paula Perez-Fabregas was diagnosed with Ewing’s Sarcoma, a rare type of bone cancer. She recently returned to her home in Narón, Spain to join her family and begin intensive chemotherapy treatment. To show Paula the support from all of us at Georgian Court and to help her family with these unexpected medical costs, the Women’s Basketball Team is selling T-shirts and bracelets with 100% of the proceeds going to Paula and her family.
The team will have a table Tuesday, Feb. 6 in the Wellness Center from 12pm-1pm before our “Paula Strong” game later that night. If you’d like to support, t-shirts are being sold for $15 and bracelets for $5. Cash or venmo payment accepted. Additionally, we are hoping to “white out” the arena for the game on Feb. 6 for Paula to watch and know how much she is supported back here at GCU.
