Walk with a Doc (WWAD)

WWAD was founded 21 years ago by Dr. David Sabgir, a cardiologist who realized how hard it was to change people’s behaviors to improve their wellbeing. He invited his patient to take a walk with him in a park one day and that just changed his and his patients’ lives.

This is a free event on campus on the last Friday of each month. There will be 5 min. of health talk by one of the local healthcare professionals, followed by a group walk for about 1 hr. The program take advantage of health education, physical activity, being outdoor, and socially connect with one another all in 1 hr session. 

On 4/24/26 Matt Holland, RDN and Kathryn Speelman, RDN from Ocean County Health Services will talk about Diabetes and how to improve its complications in Ocean County. They also offer free blood pressure and blood glucose screening at the end of the walk.
