The unprecedented terrorist attack on Israel one year ago today continues to reverberate throughout the region and across the globe. The pain and suffering felt at that time persists as violence continues across the Middle East, affecting countless lives on all sides.

Nonviolence is one of the Sisters of Mercy’s critical concerns. It emphasizes the importance of working for peace through prayer, education, and personal and communal practices of nonviolence and advocacy.

Please continue to pray for our Jewish community members, especially as they observe their High Holy Days. As a community, we pray for all the victims of violence and their families as we continue to search for peace throughout the world.
