AIFS- Berlin, Germany

Program

Students will take an intensive 3 week course selecting from the range of courses listed below.  Meanwhile, they will be immersed within the German culture and have an opportunity to explore Berlin and museums in the area.

Itinerary

  • Tour of Berlin
  • Visit to Memorial for Berlin Wall
  • Visit to Sachsenhausen Concentration Camp
  • Watch an ice hockey game
  • Day trip to Potsdam
  • Optional excursion to Warsaw, Poland (*additional cost)

Academics

Students will select one of the 3-credit courses listed.

  • German 101/201 – German Language
  • History/Politics/Social Science 312 – The Berlin Wall and Cold War Era
  • History/ Cultural Studies 314- Cultural Memory – Museums in Berlin
  • Law 315- Introduction to International Economic Law
  • Politics/Social Science 309 – Germany and the New World Order
  • Religion/Culture 308 – Interreligious and Intercultural Dialogue in Germany
  • Social Science 311- European City and Regional Development Planning 

Program Costs

$3,895

Included in the cost:

  • Housing – university apartment
  • Tuition for 3 credits
  • Meal plan (2 meals a day)

  • Airfare

  • $95 AIFS Application Fee
  • $250 refundable damage deposit to AIFS

Georgian Court University has extended the deposit deadline to June 1 in response to the U.S. Department of Education announcement concerning delayed data availability from the revised Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA).
