Meet our Staff

Counseling Center

Susan White, PsyD, MBA

Susan White is a licensed psychologist and certified school psychologist who joined the staff in January 2022 and was promoted to the Director of Counseling Services in August 2024. She completed her bachelor’s degree at Rutgers College in economics and psychology, her master’s degree in psychology and her doctorate degree in psychology at the Graduate School of Applied and Professional Psychology (GSAPP) at Rutgers University. Prior to becoming a psychologist, Dr. White worked in insurance and corporate finance and earned her Master of Business Administration degree in supply chain management from Rutgers Business School.

Prior to joining Georgian Court University, Dr. White worked in various settings including integrated health departments within hospitals, in addition to schools, addiction rehabilitation facilities, the World Trade Center Health Program, and college counseling centers including those at Rutgers University and Stevens Institute of Technology. She approaches her clinical practice with a solutions-focused lens identifying the optimal combination of treatment types to best serve clients reach their goals. Dr. White has a strong interest in applying exposure therapy techniques to address symptoms related to social anxiety and other presenting concerns.

Dr. White enjoys spending time with her family, especially with her two remarkable daughters.

Elizabeth Tomasulo, Psy.D.

Elizabeth Tomasulo, Psy.D., Consultant for the GCU Community Provider Partnership Grant

Elizabeth Tomasulo is a New Jersey-licensed psychologist (#6007). She has experience working with a diverse college-aged population since 2012. Previously, Dr. Tomasulo had been a full-time counselor in the Counseling Center and in 2022 shifted her role to part-time to provide grant consultation services. Currently, Dr. Tomasulo has taken on the role of consultant for the GCU Community Provider Partnership Grant. Under this position, Dr. Tomasulo will act as a member of the JED Task Force and will work in conjunction with the Counseling Center to assist in the implementation of the JED Foundation program aimed at supporting student mental health and well-being. In addition to providing consultation services to the Counseling Center, Dr. Tomasulo is an adjunct instructor in the Department of Psychology and Counseling at Georgian Court University. Dr. Tomasulo is a member of the American Psychological Association, New Jersey Psychological Association, and the New Jersey College Counseling Association.

Linda Bass, MA, LPC

Linda Bass is a Licensed Professional Counselor who joined the staff at Georgian Court University Counseling Center in August 2021 and currently serves as a Staff Therapist. Ms. Bass completed her bachelor’s degree at Georgian Court University in Psychology and completed her master’s degree in Counseling at Rider University.

Prior to coming to GCU, Ms. Bass has worked in various settings, including psychiatric emergency rooms, outpatient mental health clinics, and outreach in the community for over 40 years. She has a strong interest and background in crisis management and intervention, including trauma-focused treatment with individuals and families. Ms. Bass incorporates psychodynamic approaches, and client centered strategies, as well as crisis managements skills. Ms. Bass has worked with a variety of age groups and particularly enjoys working with college-aged individuals.

Ms. Bass enjoys swimming, going to the beach, the theater, as well as art museums, and traveling.

Julie Bond, MA, LMFT (she/her/hers)

Julie Bond is a New Jersey Licensed Marriage & Family Therapist who joined the staff in September 2022. Ms. Bond currently serves as Staff Therapist.  She completed a bachelor’s degree from Douglass College at Rutgers University in Anthropology and received a master’s degree in Marriage, Couple & Family Therapy from Lewis & Clark Graduate School of Counseling and Education in Portland, Oregon.

Prior to joining the Counseling Center, Ms. Bond worked in various settings, including inpatient residential substance use programs, community mental health, private practice and college counseling. She approaches her practice from a systems theory perspective focused on investigating intergenerational patterns and attachment theory. Additionally, she has received specialized training in Dialectic Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Internal Family Systems (IFS).

She has strong interest in cultural and gender identity exploration, interpersonal relationships, issues of inclusion and social justice, community advocacy, developing deeper self-compassion and boundaries work.

Ms. Bond enjoys indoor gardening, creating pottery, textile arts, cats and Philadelphia Eagles football. Go Birds!

Jeannette Orlando

Jeannette Orlando is the Administrative Coordinator for Health Services and the Counseling Center. She joined Georgian Court University in August 2021 as Staff Assistant for the Counseling Center. In December 2023, Mrs. Orlando began providing support to both Health Services and Counseling as an Administrative Coordinator. In terms of the Counseling Center, Mrs. Orlando manages the administrative matters of the office including scheduling appointments and maintaining the day-to-day functions of the office. Mrs. Orlando is currently pursuing her degree at Georgian Court University in Social Work.

Prior to coming to GCU, Mrs. Orlando has worked in various settings, including real estate, legal and accounting, IT and business consulting.  Most recently, Mrs. Orlando has become involved in providing developmental relationship-based intervention to families dealing with Autism as part of the Care Developmental Team.

Mrs. Orlando has a strong interest and background in providing services to help people cope with challenges including needs assessments, connecting people to resources, advocacy work and program development.

Mrs. Orlando enjoys gardening, sewing and crafting.
