What to Expect
Once you have requested an appointment, you will receive an email with instructions for completing your paperwork online. Once paperwork is completed, you will be scheduled to meet with a therapist.
All Counseling Center records are confidential. When you visit the Center, the information gathered during your visit does not become part of your school record. No one in the University nor any other individual will be given information about a student who visits the Counseling Center without that student’s written consent.
During the first few sessions, the therapist will evaluate your needs and discuss a tentative treatment plan. You can then choose whether or not you would like to continue counseling. We have a few therapists available, so you are free to meet with another therapist if the first one you see is not a good fit for you. You can also end counseling at any time.
