Our Department of Psychology and Counseling offers an M.A. in Applied Behavior Analysis, an M.A. in School Psychology/Certificate Advanced Graduate Study (CAGS), a Doctorate in School Psychology (Psy.D.) and Advanced Standing in Psy.D. School Psychology. Our esteemed faculty prepare students to seek employment and professional licensures in these different fields of study.
The M.A. in Applied Behavior Analysis program provides theoretical and conceptual issues related to the science of behavior, as well as practitioner skills necessary to design and deliver effective behavioral interventions across populations and settings. Upon completion of the program, graduates meet the Behavior Analyst Certification Board’s requirements for qualification for the examination. Upon successful completion of the examination, the graduate will become a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA).
The M.A. in School Psychology/CAGS program is approved by the National Association School Psychologist (NASP). This program promotes professional practice by developing competent, socially conscious professionals capable of providing evidence-based services to children, individual schools and school districts, and school staff members who impact the lives of children. The Advanced Psy.D. in School Psychology programs offers working school psychologists the ability to enhance their school-based practice and expand their practice into other areas such as hospitals, clinics, and private practice.
