Performing artists from Asbury Park and a digital communications professor from Georgian Court University created an avant garde Christmas vibe on campus with the filming of 12 holiday music videos. The result? An unforgettable holiday album that showcases local talent, new approaches to old favorites, and music across genres.

Georgian Court University chemistry professor Prasad Lakkaraju, Ph.D. received his fourth patent this fall, but he’s quick to note it’s not the work of one inventor, or even the three whose names appear on U.S. Patent 11,131,028 B2. “Scientific research these days is highly collaborative, because you need people who are specialists in different areas,” he said.

Being a first-generation college student is a huge milestone not just for students, but also for their families, according to several speakers who recently participated in Georgian Court’s celebration of first-generation students. Not every journey is alike, they said, but they all share in some things in common: a high value in education, an understanding of its overall benefits, and charting new territory—a move that takes both being bold and being brave.
