Georgian Court Continues 100-Year Legacy of Prioritizing Women’s Issues

Georgian Court University Hosted the 19th Annual Undergraduate Research Colloquium of the New Jersey Women and Gender Studies Consortium.

Five NASA NJ Space Grants Awarded to Georgian Court Students

Five GCU students were awarded NASA NJ Space Grants for undergraduate research for the 2022-2023 academic school year. Each student received a $2,000 stipend from NASA for space-related research projects, guided by a faculty member in their respective fields which span across the sciences, including the social sciences. Facilitated by the grant, these research projects are conducted on-site at Georgian Court University.

Second Class of GCU Accelerated Nursing Program Students Graduate

The Hackensack Meridian Health School of Nursing and Wellness at GCU celebrated the graduation of 23 students who successfully completed the Accelerated Bachelor of Science in Nursing (A.B.S.N.) program.

Georgian Court Alum Returns to Campus as Visiting Poet, Published Author, and Professor

Since graduating from Georgian Court with a B.A. in English Literature, Nicole Homer ‘08 has obtained multiple graduate degrees in English Literature and Fine Arts; served as a Professor of English at Mercer County Community College; and published her first book of poetry, Pecking Order.

Critical Concerns 2023: Women

This year’s critical concern is Women. The Sisters of Mercy remain committed to improving the situation of women around the world. “We believe that women’s education, health and spirituality need special attention. We continue this mission in our schools, colleges, health-care institutions and spirituality centers. We advocate for equal pay, for services for domestic violence victims, and for the rights of girls and women in especially repressive societies.”

Deposit Deadline Extended to June 1

Georgian Court University has extended the deposit deadline to June 1 in response to the U.S. Department of Education announcement concerning delayed data availability from the revised Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). Additionally, deposits are also refundable up to June 1. Click here for more information about the deposit extension.
