FINANCING YOUR
GRADUATE EDUCATION
GCU strives to provide diverse financial resources that make it possible to pursue a graduate degree or certificate. We offer a number of ways to help cover the costs of your graduate education—and you may be surprised at how affordable it really is.
- Graduate Assistantships: Appointed for either full-year or semester terms, graduate assistants work closely with faculty members and earn a stipend or tuition remission. They develop professional expertise as well as research and leadership skills.
- Grants: After completing the FAFSA, graduate students are eligible to apply for the TEACH Grant.
- Federal Loans: Graduate and doctoral students can borrow up to $20,500 per year in a Federal Direct Unsubsidized Stafford Loan, up to a total cumulative limit. The Federal Direct Graduate PLUS Loan is an additional credit-based option.
- Summer Loans: For students enrolled in at least five matriculating credits, Stafford Loans and PLUS Loans are available.
