Dance Director Silvana Cardell Receives Prestigious Guggenheim Fellowship

The John Simon Guggenheim Memorial Foundation awards fellowships to exceptional individuals so these visionaries in their respective fields can freely create. Creativity is second nature to Silvana Cardell, who is among six choreographers in this year’s prestigious Guggenheim Fellows cohort. Ms. Cardell, associate professor of dance and director of the dance program at Georgian Court University and artistic director of the Philadelphia-based Cardell Dance Theater, is a multi-award winning choreographer, dancer, and educator.

Alpha Sigma Lambda—A Tradition of Celebrating Nontraditional Students

More than 20 nontraditional students recently received Alpha Sigma Lambda honors at Georgian Court University. The 2022 inductees, all over age 25, includes parents, second careerists, part-time students balancing work and studies, a Navy veteran, and even a soccer coach. And this year, they also represent GCU’s three campuses—Lakewood, Hazlet and Cumberland.

Deposit Deadline Extended to June 1

Georgian Court University has extended the deposit deadline to June 1 in response to the U.S. Department of Education announcement concerning delayed data availability from the revised Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). Additionally, deposits are also refundable up to June 1. Click here for more information about the deposit extension.
