6 Joint degree program with Rutgers University. Students complete GCU general education and prerequisite courses for the major at GCU or a combination of GCU and another institution (in the case of transfer students), then apply to Rutgers University for 1-2 years of specialized coursework in the discipline. The total course of study (GCU phase plus Rutgers phase) requires 4-5 years. At the end of the Rutgers coursework, the student receives one diploma/degree jointly awarded by GCU and Rutgers.
